The renaissance era particularly intrigues me, mostly because of their wardrobe. I’ve always imagined ever since I was a little girl, dressing up in one of those fancy ball gowns and going to one of their festivals. Of course, I know that the renaissance was partial to those of the upper class, but a girl can dream, can’t she?
Some of the greatest writers came out of the renaissance, the greatest being playwright, story teller, William Shakespeare. What I wouldn’t give to go back in time and be able to stand in the Globe Theater and watch Hamlet with fresh new eyes? How amazing would that be?
And don’t forget some of the greatest artists, like Micheangelo and yes, even Di Vinci with his Mona Lisa. It would be great to be able and see exactly what Di Vinci saw that inspired him to paint that magnificient woman.
There is so much depth to this one era in time. One can spend a lifetime studying and still not know every single piece of the puzzle. But that’s why it intrigues me most. Every single decade that has past been influenced in some way by this tremendous period and I respect it.
