“Uncharted” Movie Review

“Lost, not gone. There’s a difference. If it’s lost, it can be found.”

This a life long goal of Nate and his brother Sam, to travel the world looking for lost artifacts, but that goal is derailed when Sam never comes back after a mishap separates them as young boys. Now Nate is grown up working at a bar when a mysterious stranger comes in and offers him the adventure of a lifetime, to travel “Uncharted” waters for Magellion’s boat with all the treasure they can hold, but is it enough to make Nate leave for the unknown.

At an hour 55 minute runtime, Uncharted is another Indiana Jones, meets Tomb Raider for a new crowd to enjoy. That and put together, web slinger Tom Holland and Transformer fighter, Mark Wahlberg and one is sure to have an entertaining good time. The chemistry between Holland and Walhberg is definitely one of little brother meet big brother. There are times when it seems the only thing holding them together is the mission, but that being said, their unique comedic timing made the movie that much more entertaining. There were also quite a few special effects including falling from the plane in the beginning that one can definitely say Holland used his “Spidey” senses to hold on.

That being said, Uncharted which came out February 18, 2022 is an adventure comedy that will take audiences places they only wish they can go in real life. It’s currently playing in a theater near you and is definitely worth your time and money for a trip to the unknown.
