“The Wild Robot” REVIEW

“Sometimes to survive, we must become more than we are programmed to be.”

This is the heart of the latest Dreamworks film which is already being name the best film ever. It gets to the heart of humanity, in the most unlikeliness of creatures who finds herself stranded on an uninhabited island. Roz quickly learns to adapt as she uses her univeral languages to navigate through the animals. Her one mission to find a task to complete. Fortunately she does through the bonding of a young gosling who lost his family. The biggest question is will she truly become mother to something so uniquely different and be able to get him ready to migrate with the other Geese.

All in all, The Wild Robot will hit audiences hard in more ways than one. A powerful story that will have everyone laughing, crying and not wanting to leave their seats for fear of what is to happen next. It’s ultimately a powerful message to everyone that we ought not fear the unknown, but rather we need to embrace it because often times, that unknown will save us from the unexpected.

The film stars a dynamic voice talent including Award winning Lupita Nyong’o who manages to take a robotic character and truly give it a little heart. The transformation of “Roz” is spectactular and only a dynamic voice actor can truly take that moment and cause it to shine. Similarly other voices including, Ready Player One‘s Kit Conner and The Mandalorian’s Pedro Pascal, all of who aided in making this movie an instant classic. It truly will be interesting come award season as to how many wins it will take home.

Additionally, The Wild Robot contains spectacular computer graphic and imagery as well as an all star musical score that even more aids in the audiences emotional break down. The film came out in theaters to a Thursday night crowd, September 26 and is showing in one near you. See it you truly will not regret it.
