“The Shift” REVIEW

When Kevin finds himself given a chose to control the shift, and get back to his wife, he must decide which is more important doing God’s will or his own.

Angel Studios‘ newest Christian based film, is making its debut in the theaters and bringing light to the dark place. Using one of the darkest books of the bible, Job, The Shift does an exceptional job of capturing that light in the darkest places, while using a bit of alternative universes to do so.

The film stars Jurassic World’s Kristoffer Polaha as Kevin the man determined to get back to his wife without compromising his faith in the process. The “Devil” aka “benefactor, actor Neil McDonough does an exceptional job of portraying just how slick and cunning the devil can be in the real world. Additionally the film also brings back “Lord of the Ring’s” Sean Astin as Gabriel, another “puppet” in the devil’s sick game of win or lose. Another long lost actor making his debut is Disney child star, Jason Marsden as Cyrus. Finally the film wouldn’t be complete with an actress to play Kevin’s wife, Molly (Elizabeth Tabish), who equally does an exceptional job of portraying the films message of hope in the darkness.

All in all, The Shift which officially comes out in theaters Dec 1 is a film for all ages. It’s a unique film with a heart felt message that the world needs at this time of the season. It will have audiences fully engaged as we wait to see just what will happen next and whether or not Kevin will make the choice to trust in God or trust in the Devil.
