“The Flash” REVIEW

Barry Allen always felt like the last of the DC superheroes to be called on to clean up others messes. With the threat of losing his father after his mother was stabbed in their home, now he has the thought to go back and make everything right. After all it’s just his family, what danger can that be?

Justice League‘s Ezra Miller reprises his role as the Flash/ Barry Allen and has a unique way of acting the closing awkward superhero who never seems to be taken seriously. Though this film we see a definite growth as Miller must now play two very different Flash’s and show the present Flash what is supposed to be in the future.

The film also includes nearly every version of superman and batman including archival footage of the late Adam West and Christopher Reeve to name a few. Additionally three on screen Batman’s at different stages of the time space, Ben Affleck, Micheal Keaton and George Clooney shows even deeper the affects time travel has on everything. The last difference in the justice league is instead of Superman which Flash is used to, now we see a Supergirl, (played by Sasha Calle). With this very different Justice League only one question stands: Can they truly save everyone or will the quantum realms continue to collide every time they try to go back in time and fix it?

At two hour and twenty four minute run time, The Flash delves even more into the multiverse in a Back to the Future type of way. It even uses the Back to the future reference as characters change and no one is who they are supposed to be. All in all, it’s a roller coaster ride from the very start. The film came to theaters June 16 and is currently playing in one near you.
