The Fire Inside
It’s the remarkable true story of the only woman boxers in US history to win back to back gold medals. It also started the change in fair pay for all Olympians: both male and female.
MGM’s The Fire Inside stars tv star Ryan Destiny who does an absolutely phenomenal job portraying a true Olympic legend. Additionally, Bullet Train’s Bryan Tyree Henry helps bring the story to life as Clarissa’s coach who takes the chance by training a girl to box. He further enhances the story by showing the lengths he’s willing to go to help Clarissa succeed.
Ultimately the story behind the movie is definitely one worthy of award recognition. It does everything in its power to create a true dramatization of what we here in America still face. It’s the idea of gender stereotypes, though we have improved slightly there is still ways to be better. The Fire Inside shows that and more as it proves that even girls can do anything. All they need is that “Fire Inside” to prove themselves.
The Fire inside came out mid-December, as it expands its viewership next month. It’s currently playing in one near you.
