Trains By The Ocean
Train enthusiasts brought their own unique collection of model trains and sets to display for the public at the Ventura County Fairgrounds for a two day Train Show on January 26 and 27, 2019. There were displays of trains in industrial settings as well as rural and even Thomas the train enticed the youngest viewers with his carnival game setting.
There was also a seperate room full of more than 50 venders selling a variety of different tracks, trains and various train themed items. The two day event from 10-4 welcomed train lovers and spectators alike for only 10 dollars admission.

Harvest Fest In Mission Hills, Calif.
It’s that time of year when local farms like this one in Mission Hills invite the community to enjoy family friendly entertainment, while shopping for fresh farm grown fruits and vegetables.
The Festival concludes this weekend, on November 1 with more family friendly fun from 10-6. Don’t miss it or visit a local farm in your area. It’s the true definition of a “harvest” festival.
A New addition to Walt’s Barn in Griffith Park
As previously reported, Walt’s barn is open free to the public the third Sunday of each month. This year, volunteers have changed the exhibits and added more Disneyland themed trains including, the monorail, railroad cars and more.

Travel Town Museum in Griffith Park, Calif.
Located just a few feet from Walt’s Barn and the LA Live Steamers, there is yet another free museum for avid train enthusiasts and
visitors to Southern California to explore.
There is also a mini train that goes around the outskirts of the museum that people can ride on for just$2.75 a person and have a unique experience of traveling through different settings of the historic museum.Travel Town Railroad Museum is home to several different types of trains and rail cars for all to see and experience at no charge.
The museum was founded in 1952 and is open to the public Monday through Friday, 10-4 and weekends, 10-5.
