“Justice” Slips
The Latest DC Franchise falls to number two this week at the box office as Justice League brings in just over 40 million domestically as the latest Disney Pixar Coco takes first with 49 million at the box office.
Justice League picks up right after Batman V Superman left off as the world is morning the heroic death of Superman. At the same time, crime is at an all time high as Batman and Wonder Woman struggle to recruit a new replacement for their fallen crony and Wonder Woman’s home is over taken by Steppenwolf who has plans to take over the entire world.

At two hour run time, the action adventure will have audiences on the edge of their seats wondering what will happen next. With just enough back story from the previous DC films, viewers don’t have to know a lot about the characters in order to understand what is happening and be entertained. All in all, it’s a powerful movie with a message of how much power a team has as each member of the Justice League brings their own strength in order to defeat the villain and save the world.
Justice League came out in theaters, November 17 and though it dropped its second weekend, it brought in over 171 million from its debut opening weekend to date at the box office.

Disney Sets Record- Captain America
Disney has reached the 1 Billion dollar mark in just over 128 days concluding with its latest Marvel Film, Captain America: Civil War. The blockbuster follows the team of Avengers in their latest fight against each other, especially when the United Nations force the super heroes to limit their effects on the world to only being called upon in extreme situations. But the heroes are divided on whether or not leaving the saving to the UN is such a good idea and thus the Civil War begins. The two sides, headed up by Iron man and Captain America leave for some powerful fight sequences as well as witty bantering back and forth until they come to some kind of understanding.
At 2 and a half hours, Captain America: Civil War introduces a whole new team and challenges along the way. It is very much entertaining to the eye and ultimately leaves the viewer wanting more every second that goes by. Captain America stars a line up of well-known actors including, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America as well as Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Paul Bettany as Vision, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlett Witch, Paul Rudd as Antman and Emily Vancamp as Sharon Carter and of course, no Avenger film is complete without a cameo by creator Stan Lee.
Thus far, Captain America has earned just shy of 200 million domestically and is currently playing at a theater near you. See it soon, you won’t regret it.
Ant-Man: A New Breed of Super Hero
From the creative mind of comic book legend, Stan Lee, comes a hero in the form of an Ant. Actor Paul Rudd is Ant-Man as he goes from a regular cat burglar to hero with the help of Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), a.k.a the original Ant-Man and his daughter, Hope (Evangeline Lily). Now it is up to the three of them to fight back against Darren Cross (Corey Stoll) in order to save the world and his family from the Yellow Jacket.
At just under 2 hour runtime, Ant Man is full of adventure, action and suspense as you follow the transformation of Scott Lang into the Ant-Man. Overall, the special effects of phenomenal, as we see various objects, including ants, and Lang himself, shrink and grow right before your eyes. In addition, the creators did a great job of connecting the story of Ant- Man to that of the Avengers franchise, thus hinting that there will be sequel.
Ant man is currently playing in a theater near you, and has already brought in over 106 million dollars worldwide, coming in at number one for its second week at the box office.
