On Saturday December 5, 2015, residents celebrated Christmas with a variety of local All Stars in their community.

Local Oxnard Police officers led the way for the annual parade.

And the colors were presented by the Armed forces from Port Hueneme.

The theme for this year’s parade is All Stars as the winning athetes wave from on top of floats down “A” street in Oxnard.

Equestrian Riders show off their skills as crowds marvel at the size and talent of the horses.

Fans of the rising hip hop husband wife team rocked out on the back of a flat bed truck as KNS Rockstar performed in front.

And there was even a royal court including this year’s Miss Wheelchair, advocating beauty in all forms.

Bands provided the holiday music to the parade route.

And a surprise visitor didn’t allow his urge to steal Christmas effect the parade.

The parade was a dream come true for all the participants as people of all ages could participate.

The ever popular motorcycles performed on street corners like this one in formation for the crowds.

The Christmas theme held up as the floats, carried more All Stars under a life-size nativity scene.

And Santa made his way with his helpers riding in an antique fire truck as well as Mrs. Claus walking on foot to give hugs to the surrounding kids.

Following the parade, was the popular Spanish tradition called the Tamale Festival held in Plaza Park in Downtown Oxnard.

On September 5, 2015, the Redlight District Show in Ventura County hosted the 2015 Ventura County Music Awards to celebrate and support live music in the area. Musicians of all genres performed for a packed house on the lawn of the Musuem of Ventura County.

All in all, there were roughly 25 different awards handed out including best vocalists, breakthrough star award as well as individual genres.

There were also two hall of fame inductees this year to the Ventura County Music including Jim Salzer and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.
