Country Takes Over Warner Center

As part of the Concerts on the Green out at Warner Center Park, residents enjoyed a tribute to country greats as the Highwaymen Live rocked the house for a two hour concert.  The opening act was an emerging artist named Katie Dix from Bakersfield, Calif, who played orginals as well as covers by past female artists including Martina McBride and Reba McEntire.

The concerts are free courtesy of the Valley Culture Center and begin every Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m.  For a complete list of concerts, visit their website here.

Avo Fest 2013

It was three days of Peace, Love and Guacamole at the California Avocado Festival in Carpinteria, Calif. as hundreds of So Cal residents filled the streets to eat, drink and buy avocados.  Various music groups performed on three different stages set up for the weekend and there was even a “Kids Only” zone where children could play miniature golf and race slot cars.
