Gerald Butler does what any good pilot is mean to do: save the passengers. When he is forced to land to the plane in an unknown area of the Philippines, due to a freak lightening storm, what he doesn’t realize is there is more to fear than just the weather.
All in all Butler certainly has a knack for action films as he perfectly captures that of a pilot just trying to do his job. He carries the same dedication and will power as his latest film, Angel Has Fallen and is quickly becoming that actor who always seem to be in the wrong place at the right time.
Butler’s newest film equally as the same impactful chemistry as Black and Blue‘s Mike Colter adds a suspenseful twist that Butler finds as an unexpected asset when the passengers are taken hostage. Now it is up to the two opposite men to save everyone and just get them all back on board the plane.
Ultimately at one hour 44 minutes, Plane is a surprisingly entertaining film for all to consider watching on a slow week at the box office. With awesome weather effects combined with that of rouge terrorist mafia that add to the element of suspense, its enough to keep audiences on the edge of their seats as they wonder just who will escape.
Plane came out in theaters January 13 and is currently playing in one near you.
