“Operation Fortune” REVIEW

Jason Statham’s next mission is to uncover the the latest sale of a deadly weapons technology. The only thing is he can’t do it alone. As he finds himself traveling around the world to find the top under cover operatives he knows time is not on his side. The question is will he be able to complete the mission before total distruction.

At an hour 54 minute run time, Operation Fortune: Ruse De Guerre is your typical action film, similar to Statham’s acting mantra. It also stars familiars including “Princess Bride‘s” Cary Elwes, Man called U.N.C.L.E‘s Hugh Grant, Park and Recreation‘s Aubrey Plaza, and Die Hart‘s Josh Harnett. All of which, give the movie that sense of suspense that will leave audiences wondering what will happen next.

Ultimately, its a combination of Mission Impossible meets James Bond with a splash of Fast and the Furious which totally fits Statham’s character. Fast cars, spy espionage and high impact fighting with big explosions. It’s enough to keep anyone on the edge of their seats.

Operation Fortune came out in theaters March 3 and is currently playing in one near you. It’s definitely one that will have you intrigued from the first scene on, despite its lack of advertisement.
