“On Fire” REVIEW

Dave Laughlin lives in a quiet trailer park with his family and all seems well. That is until a savage wildfire tears through their home and sends them on an unending run to safety. The one question remains and that is is there enough faith to survive mother nature.

Told through the eyes of a family in the middle of the danger, On Fire shows the devastation and unpredictable nature that wildfires are. Additionally the film also pays special tribute to the men and women who put their lives on the line just for the possibility of saving one more soul.

The film is a powerful story with exceptional actors who bring it to life. Those include Twilight star Peter Facinelli who also directed the film as well as Shazam’s Asher Angel who ends up being the saving grace in unexpected ways.

All in all, the film is “Backdraft” meets “Emergency Call”. It combines both storylines while showing the human nature of the ones trapped in the dangerous wildfires. Even at just under an hour and a half run time, the film will still have you on the edge of your seats, ultimately just praying that the brave family makes it out alive.

“On Fire” came out in theaters September 29 and is currently playing in limited ones near you.
