The Moon is falling and now it’s up to former, now disgraced astronaut Brian Harper to team up once again with Jo Fowler to save the world and the moon. The question is will they be able to do it before the military sends missiles to destroy it.
Moonfall is certainly following in other space movies footsteps, however it also takes a huge leap of faith by introducing the idea of A-I (Artificial Intelligence) back into the picture. In that way it’s kind of another version of Independence day only that the aliens are mechanical. That being said, the film definitely leaves a lot to question as it takes liberties of trying to stand out and be creative in the story and for that, one can definitely give it props for. The story definitely had you on the edge of your seats wondering what would happen next.
Additionally the acting was exceptional. The film stars “The Call’s” Halle Berry as Jo as well as Midway‘s Patrick Wilson as Brian. The chemistry of Berry and Halle on screen made the story come to live especially as we see them before and after their kids are in the picture. The third part of the team that longs to save the world is “Game of Thrones‘” John Bradley who surprising adds a little humor to the seriousness of the duo’s mission.
Ultimately, Moonfall would not be what it is without the acting styles of these three. The film came out in theaters February 4, 2022 and is currently playing in a theater near you.
