“Marry Me” Review

Universal Pictures’ Marry Me is the feel good movie of the year that has audiences saying yes to love.

The film stars Jennifer Lopez as Kat Valdez, who is a successful pop singer about to marry the love her her life, Bastian (Maluma). That is until their wedding day, when she realizes that Bastian has just cheated on her. Now in a last chance effort to save face in front of millions of her adoring fans, she takes a leap of faith and decides to marry someone who is holding a sign in the audience.

Of course that someone is Charlie (Owen Willson), a divorced father who just want to set a fun image for his preteen daughter. What comes next is both predictable and surprising at the same time as the film will have audiences laughing and crying at the same time.

Overall, Marry me is a well done movie. It contains a great story line as well as original music performed by J. Lo herself that will have you wanting to get up out of your seat and dance.

Similarly, Wilson does a good job of going from an uptight teacher to one who can actually loosen up and fall in love again. Ultimately it’s one of the better movies that he has been a part of and definitely deserves a watch.

Marry Me came out in theaters Valentines day weekend and is currently playing in one near you. If streaming is your forte, you can also turn to Peacock as it is also available in that platform. Whatever way you chose, it is definitely encouraged to see with friends or love ones.
