“Kingdom of The Planet of the Apes” REVIEW

“What a wonderful Day!”

Or is it.

Years after the original Planet of the Apes when Cesar set balance between apes and man, now there is new leadership. That leadership is far from what Cesar created as it will challenge the bonds formed. Now it’s up to a new unsung hero to bring balance back before chaos happens again.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes stars a seemingly new cast including TV star Freya Allan, Abigail’s Keven Durand as Proximus Caesar and It: Chapter 2‘s Owen Teague as Noa. All of whom do an exceptional job of bring a new Planet of the Apes to life. There are a few similarities to the original, but all in all it does its best to create something new and unique.

There are awesome visuals as well as great stunt work that will have audiences glued to the screen throughout the 2 and a half hour runtime. That being said, the film is rated PG 13 and may not be for a really young audience. There is no nudity, but a bit of strong violence that could be to intense for a weak stomach.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes came out in theaters to a Thursday late night audience and is currently playing as of May 10th. See it in a theater near you. You wont regret it.
