“Juror #2” REVIEW

When an average family man gets selected for jury duty; the man soon discovers that he has more in common with the victim then he wants to admit. Now it is up to him to convince the rest of the jurors that the defendant is innocent without convicting himself in the process.

Juror #2 takes a very real look at this possibility while diving into the judicial system as a whole. Renfield‘s Nicolas Hoult does an exceptional job of portraying a man in the wrong place at the wrong time. He captures that of a man conflicted by guilt while trying to do right by his family.

Addtionally the film stars Red One‘s J.K Simmons as well as Mafia Mamma’s Toni Collette, who excels as an all star prosecutor. She handles this role as a charm, knowing just what she needs to do to get what she wants. Simmons additionally adds a bit of suspense to Hoult’s mission to prove the defendant’s innocence.

All in all, at just under 2-hour runtime, Juror #2 will have you realistically engage in what could very well be a real-life court case. It will have you on the edge of you seat and in true Clint Eastwood standard, the ending will leave you wondering what is really to happen next especially for the average family man himself. The film is currently playing in limited theaters near you.
