“In God We Trust”: REVIEW

You Can’t Win if you don’t play!

It’s the idea of standing up for what’s right, no matter the cost.

The fifth installment of the God’s Not Dead franchise follows Reverend David Hill back to the government as he is presented with the idea of running for city council. In an effort to safe America from socialism, he accepts, but the road is not an easy one, especially as a pastor.

The film reunites David A.R White who has been the center of the God’s Not Dead movies. Each movie brings light to serious issues facing Christianity in America and the latest is no different. As an important election is coming up for America, the film reminds us that we need to vote for our values, rather than the person. White does a phenomenal job of showcasing this powerful message to a willing audience.

Additionally, he is joined once more by the Christian band, Newsboys who use their own style of music and ministry to support Rev. Dave every step of the way. Their song, by the same name of this movie incapsulizes the heart of the film perfectly.

Other actors include the OC’s Samaire Armstrong, Dean Cain, who was in the original God’s not Dead, RoboCop’s Ray Wise and TV star Scott Baio, all of who do an equally exceptional job of portraying the heart of the movies and franchise as a whole. It’s truly a movie that all need to see and remember the real reason we vote. The film came out in theaters September 12, and is currently showing in one near you.
