The Latest Christian Based Movie about one of the top selling Christian Music Artist is bringing a small amount of movie goers to the theaters this weekend. Lionsgate’s I Still Believe follows the true story of singer/songwriter Jeremy Camp as he brings his first wive’s story of faithfulness to the screen.
The film stars Riverdale star KJ Apa as he portrays the iconic Jeremy Camp and does an exceptional job as he steps into the role of a young man with a passion for music who finds himself falling in love at first sight within minutes of meeting Melissa. Apa is quick in showing the fast emotions from being dumped suddenly to making the ultimate choice of commitment when the love of his life is on the verge of death after receiving the cancer news.
Additionally, the chemistry between Apa and Britt Robinson, who plays Melissa, is equally as dynamic. In particular, Robinson, has a particular knack for playing a young girl who goes from being some what reserved in her obvious feelings for Jeremy to one that is able to let go and completely live in the moment while relying on God to provide.
“I Still Believe” is based on the true life story of Jeremy Camp as well as the inspiration for one of the top Christian songs and it speaks volumes especially in a time when the world seems to be in chaos. It’s a film that has already been named on of the top romance movies of 2020 and will leave audiences tearing up from the first moment Jeremy Camp comes on stage in his storytelling performance.
The film came out in theaters, March 13, 2020 and is currently playing in one near you. It’s most certainly the feel good movie to see for a little bit of hope in the midst of darkness.
