One can’t think of Halloween without thinking of the ’93 cult classic, Hocus Pocus and rightfully so. This movie has definitely grown as a much see for any Halloween lover and thus makes the third movie on our Road To Halloween.
The ’90’s film, Hocus Pocus stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as the Sanford sisters out to seek revenge on the children of Salem. Their mission to stay young forever by taking the lives of the young. There’s one problem though, a mangy black cat, cursed with immortality, now strives to keep future generations from bringing back the witches but that was until one Halloween night a boy and his sister explore the old house and light the black flame candle.
Now it’s up to Max, his sister, Dani and love interest, Allison to stay alive and keep the witches at bay from accomplishing their mission.
At an hour 36 minutes, this family friendly tale of witches in Salem will send chills down your spine as you wonder what is to happen next and how these teens can achieve the impossible in just one night. Additionally, a plus is the musical selection by Bette Midler herself that will have your toe tapping long after the movie is over.
It’s certainly a must see for Halloween as one can watch it steaming on Disney plus or by checking your listing as it is always played multiple times every October during Freeform’s 31 nights of Halloween.
