It’s a question of faith that is tested.
When two young girls try to bring Jesus to a mysterious man, he seems very interested. That interest leads the girls to put their true faith to the test when they get trapped inside with the man. The question is will they be able to have enough faith to get out or will their secrets be the demise of them all?
At an hour 51 minute run time, Heretic is a true horror film that will have you one the edge of your seats. Hugh Grant is fantastic as he comes off as such a peaceful man, that the girl’s feel as if they can trust. That peaceful nature shifts as Grant smoothly changes his disposition in such a casual way. The girls, played by MaXXXine’s Sophie Thatcher and “The Fabelman’s” Chloe East, certainly add that innocence, though as the girls’ are faced with the faith choice, the audience equally realizes one has a deep secret that ultimately might just be her demise.
All in all, Heretic which came out in theaters November 8, is a suspenseful horror to captivate your eyes. That being said, the film is rated R, for blood and violence, which is mild compared to other horror films that have or will be coming out. The film is currently playing in a theater near you.
