The Guardians are back and this time their mission hits home. In the latest volume, the topic of animal testing facilities comes into play as Rocket’s life is on the line. Through this we as an audience learn more about Rocket’s history including the negative reactions to the awful people that made him who he is. Now it’s up to the entire team to rescue him and everyone else in that dreadful place.
At two and a half hour run time, Guardians of The Galaxy, Vol. 3 features the same cast including Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Chris Pratt as Star Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Vin Diesel as Groot, Sean Gunn as Kraglin and Dave Bautista as Drax. The one distinct difference though is each character’s motivation and direction, which in itself provides a thought provoking, entertaining movie. Additionally, it also paints a very different future for the Guardians as new characters are added and enhanced including Cosmo the Space Dog (Maria Bakalova).
Just like the previous films, there is stunning graphics as well as an awesome musical composition, in true Guardians fashion. The chemistry and camaraderie between the entire cast is equally good, along with a comedic timing by both Diesel and Bautista. It wouldn’t be a Guardian’s movie without the classic, “I am Groot” line which Diesel excels in every time.
All in all this latest volume will leave audiences thriving in the action, while wondering what in fact it means for the Avengers team. That being said, just like Thor: Love and Thunder, Guardians gives a new story for the cast that will have audiences either loving or wondering what they just saw.
Don’t let it scare you though, it’s still packed with the same action and adventure, despite the controversial topic. Vol. 3 came out in theaters May 5, and is currently playing in a theater near you. See it for all your entertainment needs and make your own decision for this new and unique storyline.
