The lovable, mischievous Peter Rabbit is back for an all new adventure, along with his entire family, Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail and cousin, Benjamin, but this time there is a new addition as Bea finally marries the rabbits arch nemesis, Thomas McGregor. Now it is a new challenge of how to adapt to a “father” as both Peter and Thomas have similar fears. If that’s not enough, things really get accelerated to the next level as Bea’s first children’s book is so successful, fans are calling for a sequel and a clever publishing agent, Nigel has visions of turning Peter Rabbit from a fun loving children’s tale to one that will have people on the edge of their seats in non realistic retellings.
As Peter begins to feel like he really is a bad seed, he begins to venture out into the big city where he meets a rabbit who claims to be friends with Peter’s long lost dad. Intrigued in the idea of reconnecting with one of his dad’s friends, Peter allows himself to be seduced with his own mischievous deeds, but when his own family gets caught in the havoc of the deed, it’s up to Peter to rescue them.
Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway is based on the famous children’s story by Beatrice Potter and the second film is just as funny, heartwarming and entertaining as the first. It will have audiences of all ages, laughing, crying and cheering for the brave little rabbit and his family. The second movie truly follows closely to Ms Potter’s vision of the rabbit in that one can almost see her as she is writing the lovable story line.
Rose Byrne and Domhnall Gleeson both are reprising their roles as Bea and Thomas and there is no questions as to why. Both carry their acting to a whole other world as both are seamlessly linked in their connections to the rabbits.
Of couse James Corden returns as the voice of Peter Rabbit as he exceptionally gives life and character to the fun witty rabbit that we all know and love.

That being said, the delay was well worth the wait as the film debuted this year and is currently playing in a theater near you.
