“Fast 9” Review

The family is back and this time, it is brother against brother as Dom’s long lost brother finds himself teaming up against the teams new arch nemesis, Cipher in an act of revenge about the family. When all is said and done though the question is will the family be able to help his little brother and bring him into the family or is this the end of the “Fast” Family.

Fast 9 stars Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto as well as Michelle Rodriguez as Letty, Tyrese Gibson as Roman, Ludacris as Tej, Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey and Jordana Brewster as Mia. It is a two and a half hour action packed ride, that spans from country to country from Tokyo to Edinburgh and even outer space in a new sci fi twist as they seek to take down Dom’s little brother Jakob (John Cena) and all in all they do fair job. The film keeps ones attention as each moment is more heart.pounding then the next.

Of course, in popular tradition, Fast 9 is all about fast cars with family at the heart as the film can’t be a “Fast” film without the family saying Grace at least once. They even go a step further in a heart felt father to son moment when Dom has a discussion with Lil Brian (his son from the the previous film).

Ultimately Fast 9 came out June 25, 2021 and fans won’t be disappointed. Though one might argue that this one isn’t nearly as strong as the past and the time in space might seem unbelievable. That being said, it’s an enjoyable film as it keeps to the tradition of what all Fast Movies are about. The film is currently playing in a theater near you.
