“Expend4bles” REVIEW

Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone are back at it one more time, but this time with new blood. Megan Fox, Curtis “Fifty Cent” Jackson and Andy Garcia join the team and for a brief moment, it seems as if Stallone and Stantham are “out” so to speak, however things are not what they seem.

The new cast combined with the old does give a refreshing take on a old style film that’s 13 years old. Statham thrives in his glory even in the moment of lost and rejection. He never manages to lose hope and ends up finding where the team is which is all short of lucky for the newbies in the line of fire. Similarly, Stallone proves that age is just a number as he is keeping up with is younger counterparts in new and unique ways. And Megan Fox adds her own unique sense of punch while keeping that sex appeal for the luring audience.

All in all, Expend4bles is an action packed movie about the last line of defense when all other options are disolved. It’s a game where anything is a go and the film combines many “Rocky” moves with that of the “Fast and the furious” franchise, which is no surprise given the two top actors.

Ultimately the film also goes back to its root as the rating is R as the first two for strong bloody violence, language and sexual material. That being said, it’s a film that may not be for the faint at heart but if you love the Rocky/Fast Films, its definitely one to consider. Expend4bles came out in theaters September 22 and is currently playing in one near you.
