Austin Butler is Elvis in the latest biopic about the tragic story of the most iconic Rock legends of all times. The film follows the life of Elvis from a young boy getting his first inspiration into the musical world of Rock, Country and Blues as he grows in fame with the help of manager Colonel Tom Parker who seeks to create the greatest show of all time and lastly the unfortunate demise of the beloved Rock legend as he loses everything including his life.
All in all Butler does an exceptional job as he performs all of Elvis’ most iconic songs of all time in such a way that has audiences fully engulfed from the first song through. Similarly the chemistry with longtime manager, played by Tom Hanks , is equally strong and powerful. Honestly, Hanks has a definite knack for playing the character that everyone longs to hate.
The Elvis film contains unique moments by the actor combined with real life footage of the King of rock himself including real time news articles reciting the tragic exploitation of Elvis by Tom Parker.
At 2 hour 39 minute runtime, Elvis will leave audiences clinging to the truth and admiring the man who was the legend in every tragic moment of his life.
