“Disciples In The Moonlight” REVIEW

What extremes would you go to for the Word of God and Jesus Christ?

From House of Grace Films and Fathom Events comes the next great Christian movie of the summer. Disciples In The Moonlight follows a fictionalized view of the United States where a president can have the power to ban the Bible and attempt to replace it with their version. As an act of bravery and defiance, a group of 7 Christians form an allegiance to deliver bibles at night to 7 underground churches. There is danger, suspense and ultimately a chance wondering just how far they will go before they are in over their heads.

At 2 hour 16 minute runtime the film will have you on the edge of your seats as one feels empowered, fearful and ultimately determined by the words of Jesus. It follows the reading of the Acts of Paul as well as John’s Gospel as the actors do a phenomenal job of portraying US persecution and ultimately what nearly every other country goes through for their faith.

Though the film is only playing in limited theaters, beginning July 17 through the 25, it’s still an important story that needs to be told. It’s a film that took ten years to complete and deserves to be seen on the big screen before it’s too late.

Take a step out of your comfort zone and find a theater near you that is bolding showing this incredible film about the power of faith and what it takes to hold on to it.
