On Thursday Dec. 7, 2017, residents came out for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting held for the first time at the newly built Stanton Central Park located on Western Avenue just a few miles from Knotts Berry Farm. The celebration included many of the elected officials who shared their goodwill speeches as they welcomed Santa into the center of the park to officially flip the switch and light the Christmas Tree.
The Rancho Alamitos High School Chorale and Chamber singers entertained crowds before the Tree was lit up and there was also cookie decorating and arts and crafts for kids as librarians read Christmas Stories to children.
