“Charlie’s Angels” Review

The Angels are back, this time with more than one team of angels, each under their own Bosley, but it’s all for the same reason to earn their wings by tackling the toughest jobs yet.

Under the direction and screenplay written by Elizabeth Banks, the storyline follows close to one specific team of angels headed by John Bosley (Patrick Stewart) as they go to the rescue to stop the dangerous technology which if left unchecked could destroy everything.

The angels include Twilight star Kristen Stewart as one might say has grown up quite nicely from the timid human in love with a vampire. Now in Charlie’s Angels, Stewart is holding her own next to her two counterparts, “Aladdin’s” Naomi Scott and “The Athena’s” Ella Balinska.

Scott stepped into the “Angel” role with ease, especially bringing some Aladdin flair to Scott’s performance by showing she won’t go “Speechless” time and time again as she shows what she is made of. And as far as Balinska is concerned, as a relative unknown for those who haven’t seen her in the TV series, The Athena, one can suspect the same performance.

Additionally the chemistry between the three leading ladies definitely showed just how strong a sisterhood bond is especially when working together for the greater good.

There were several surprise cameos by former angels of past episodes, which made the film that much more entertaining especially for fans of the genre.

Furthermore, Charlie’s Angels at nearly a two hour runtime is packed with comedy, actions and nostalgia at its finest. There are even surprise appearances by actors not even listed in the trailers that will make you think that is good.

Charlie’s Angel’s came out in theater Thursday night, November 14th and is currently playing in one near you. Strike a pose and see it before it flies away.
