It’s a new generation of Captain America. After Steve Rogers passes the shield to Sam Wilson, now he must live up to the shield. When the White House is threatened, all hope seems lost, but that’s the time for Sam to build up his new “Avengers” heroes that will save the world.
Brave New World stars Anthony Mackie who was first introduced as the falcon. He is joined by Maverick’s Danny Ramirez as more or less his apprentice as we can see the same camaraderie and mentorship between Mackie and Ramirez just as the previous Captain America dynamics. It’s a relationship that one can definitely see it growing throughout and it will be interesting to see that grow in future movies.
Also we are introduced to a new “Red Hulk” as Harrison Ford officially joins the Avengers family as the newly elected President of the United States. Ford does an exceptional job of maintaining his character as he makes the dramatic switch to the “Incredible Hulk”. One can definitely see a similarity to the Bruce Banner Hulk as he for sure modeled his Hulk to that of the original. At the same time Ford in his spectacular acting talents, made this character his own and did a fantastic job perfecting it.
All in All, at just under a 2 hour runtime, Brave New World is a perfect start to the New phase of the Avengers. Similar to the Original Captain America: The First Avenger set up that phase, we are sure that Brave New World will live up to it’s very large shield. The film came out in theaters February 14, 2025 and is currently playing in one near you.
