“Brave The Dark” REVIEW

It’s the truth that many young kids from troubled homes have to face and Brave The Dark does an exceptional job of capturing that emotion on the big screen. It’s the hope of a unbeknownst theater teacher who goes to bat for the troubled teen when he is at his lowest point, that brings hope to us all.

The film stars Jared Harris, as the drama teacher who does an awesome job of portraying that one teacher that we all inevitably remember. It’s the one that never gives up no matter what and Harris captures that exceptionally. Additionally, Harris also has a way of painting the same picture of a grieving man who uses the compassion to deal through his own grief and be able to help another.

Similarly, Nicolas Hamilton takes on a all-new role of that troubled teen named Nathan who must put aside his torturous past and realize that he doesn’t have to become his father. It’s a tremendous growth for both actors and though the plot is somewhat predictable at times, it still will have audiences on the edge of their seats.

Angel Studio‘s Brave the Dark is a feel-good film for those who need a little hope in the darkness. Of course, in true tradition the end credits show the real Nathan as he talks deeper about the movie and leaves everyone pulling out their phones to Pay It Forward. The film came out in theaters January 24 and is currently playing in a theater near you.
