“Borderlands” REVIEW

It’s “Guardians” meets Suicide Squad, in the latest action packed film this Summer. Based on a video game, Borderlands follows the story of Lileth as she is asked to return to her home when Atla’s daughter goes missing. Soon Lilith discovers there is more to the alleged “kidnaping” than meets the eye. She and her team of unusual superheroes find themselves in an all new battle against the real enemy.

Borderlands stars a all star cast including Cate Blanchett as Lileth, Ariana Greenblatt as Tiny Tina, Edgar Ramirez as Atlas, Kevin Hart as Roland and Jamie Lee Curtis as Tannis. Additionally, the talented Jack Black voices the fun loving robot Clap Trap in true “Black” standards. In a lot of ways, Black likes to carry on the same voiceover comedy as the late Robin Williams as he uses his voice to fully carry the story and have audiences laughing at his witty humor throughout the film.

At an hour 43 minute run time, Borderlands will shock and surprise you. Filled with so many unique costumes and fun action scenes it will have audiences glued to the screen the whole way through. Borderlands came out in theaters August 8 and is currently playing in one near you.
