“Book Club 2” REVIEW

The ladies are back and this time venturing into the exotic country of Italy as they prepare for Vivian’s dream wedding. What better that the ultimate bachelorette extravaganza. There is one twist though, is age really just a number or is love in fact possible?

In true “Book Club” standard, The next chapter follows their book adventures tied with real life experiences and it wouldn’t be the same without the dynamic foursome of Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Mary Steenburgen and Candice Bergen. All provide the right amount of finesse and charm coupled with comedic timing that will leave audiences laughing even at the predictability of the story line.

Additionally, Don Johnson, Andy Garcia and Craig T. Nelson bring the male side to the foursome, though they don’t take away from the bond that the 4 women have built for all of 50 years. It just proves that age really is just a number as even these quirky women can bring the same newness as any young actor today.

At an hour 45 minute runtime, Book Club: Next Chapter will have audiences reeling at the quirky dialog and unforgettable moments that reminds us just what good friends are all about. There are similarly some heartfelt moments that will have you thinking just what in life is truly important and the ending will leave you speechless in a good way.

The film came out in theaters May 12, 2023 and is currently showing in one near you. See it. You won’t regret your decision.
