“Blink Twice” REVIEW

When mysterious billionaire Slater King entices a bartender and her friend on a once in a lifetime trip to his island, the girl’s think: what could go wrong? A bit of everything when they realize just what is going on and and that they are not the only ones in the horror. Now it’s time to take matter in their own hands for their sake and the life of the others. Blink Twice is a psychological thriller that will have audiences reaching for their seats and something to take revenge.

The film stars Whitney’s Naomi Ackie and Alia Shawkat as her counterpart who inevitably follows her in and helps with the exact revenge in the end. Ultimately it’s a dynamic friendship that will have you cheering for their success all the way through.

That being said, Blink Twice is certainly not recommended for everyone, especially with the brave viewer advisery up front before the film even begins. It does feature some rough sexual scenes and down right out cruelty that will have the bravest wanting to punch out the men’s faces. Don’t worry the women handle that well.

Additionally the film features Magic Mike‘s Channing Tatum, jumping right into the role of “Sex” King though, he is quite subtle about his intensions. Also such actors include Christian Slater, Haley Joel Osment, Kyle MacLachlan and Geena Davis to round out the psychological acting talents.

In a nut shell, some things are best not to remember, but when you do, revenge must be taken. That’s the summary of Blink Twice which came out in theaters Aug. 23 and is currently playing in one near you.
