It’s time for another wedding, “Greek style”.
The entire cast of the universal comedy is back for its third installment. This time Toula’s mission is to go to Greece to track down her deceased father’s best friend in an effort to give them her father’s diary. Fortunately for Toula, the family never travels alone.
Toula is played once more by Nia Vardalos as well as John Corbett as her non Greek husband, who seems to fit right in. Additionally, the cast includes, Lainie Kazan as Maria, Andrea Martin as Aunt Voula and Joey Fatone as Toula’s brother, Angelo.
All in all the film brings the true heart of family in a seemingly comedic way. It proves time and time again, despite all annoynances set aside, family will always have one’s back and it takes everyone to get the job done.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 came out in theaters September 8 and is currently playing in a theater near you. Also, if you didn’t see any of the other films, don’t worry too much because there is a brief summary at the beginning by Vardalos to catch everyone up. If one is ambitious, the first two can also be streamed on Peacock for free.
That being said, it’s definitely a movie to consider for a fun filled night out with your friends and family.
