“Beast” REVIEW

Universal Pictures has a new monster in the action packed film, Beast starring Idris Elba. In the hour and a half film, Elba is up against the king of the beast, a rogue lion bent on acting out his revenge against man that killed his pride. The ultimate question is who will be the alpha man or beast.

All in all the film actually touches on the harm that poaching has on the animals that are left. Additionally it also speaks on the power of family as Elba, struggling to reach out to his teenage daughters who are estranged from him, uses a trip to the Savannah to show that they really can be the family they they are meant to be.

In addition to Elba, the film also stars Percy’s Jackson’s Leah Jeffries and This Is Us’ Iyana Halley as his young teenage daughters who just long for their father back and ultimately gets their wish in one way or another.

Ultimately, Beast is a high impact, thriller that will have you on the edge of your seats wondering just who will survive; the man or the beast. The film came out in theaters August 19 and is currently playing in one near you.
