“Bad Guys” REVIEW

Dreamworks takes the classic “Bad Guys” tale in a whole new light. Based on the scholastic book by Children’s writer Aaron Blabey, it tells the story of classic villains who suddenly tire of being good. When Mr. Wolf suddenly gets a glimpse of what being good looks like and likes the feeling, now he’s on a mission keep that. The problem is now he’s faced with the all important question: Is it more important to keep your friends or be good. All in all, it’s the classic story about bad guys turning good and is done in such a way that is both fun and entertaining.

The Bad Guys stars familiar type characters including Mr Wolf (Sam Rockwell), Mr Snake, (Marc Maron), Mr. Shark (Craig Robinson), Mr. Piranha (Anthony Ramos) and Ms. Tarantula (Akawafina). The voice cast can’t be questioned as each actor provides just the right amount of humor and taste to leave audiences truly enjoying the lovable film.

Additionally the film contains stunning graphics that have that of a comic book feel with a little 3D elements that will have true fans salivating over the images displayed on screen.

At an hour forty minutes runtime, Bad Guys is a fun loving film for the whole family. It has an exceptional message of knowing who you are and more importantly that if you really want to change, you can for the better. The film came out in theaters April 22, 2022 and is currently playing in a theater near you.
