“Anatomy Of A Fall” REVIEW

When a woman is suspected of murdering her husband after an alleged fight the day before, time is of the essence to prove her innocence and discover the true “Anatomy of a Fall”.

All in all, Sandra Huller is spectacular as she portrays that woman, caught up in an unforeseen scandal where her blind son is ultimately her only defense. Similarly, the young boy (Milo Machado Graner) playing her son, Daniel also is spot on in his acting especially as he is the one who ultimately finds his father dead outside their house. Ultimately the two of them have a unique chemistry which we see is challenged as the trail takes form and tries to ultimately tarnish Sandra’s reputation in her son’s eyes.

At 2 and a half hour runtime, it will have you glued to to the screen as it uses both French subtitles and English dialogue in a very lengthy dialogue based storyline. That being said, Anatomy of a Fall may not be for everyone, but the ones who truly long for the international flare that it portrays. All in all it is worth seeing even more than one time to truly grasp all that is happening and fully appreciate the true Anatomy of A Fall.

The film which came out first in France two months ago is currently playing in limited theaters near you. Furthermore the film has already been nominated a won 5 out of 7 nominations, even ahead of the upcoming awards season.
