“Altoknights” REVIEW

WB brings the true events about mob affairs from the 20th century to light in Altoknights.

The film stars Robert Deniro, who captures the essence of two of the most famous mob bosses, Frank Castillo and Vito Genovese as he balances the two roles seamlessly. Going from the two as friends to rivals, Deniro has a certain knack of playing more than one character at one time and through the power of movie magic, it unfolds perfectly. Deniro definitely didn’t hold back as he used his certain “Meet The Parents” charm to captivate audiences and make them want to know more about some of the hardest criminals of the 1950’s.

Similarly, the film also starred Will and Grace’s Debra Messing as Bobbie Castello and Katherine Narducci as Anna Genovese, two women behind the notorious mob bosses, it shows the softer side to the crime mafia.

All in all at 2 hour and 3-minute runtime, Altoknights is a film for the true history buff in all of us. Told in more of a documentary style fashion as Deniro tells the story rather than showing it, it’s a film that will have your attention, specifically the way he tells it. The film came out in theaters March 21 and is currently showing in one near you.
