“1992” REVIEW

“This negativity just makes me stronger, we will not retreat, this band is unstoppable!”

In a line this was 1992, It was a time where racism and hatred in Los Angeles was stronger than ever. The fictionalized film does a good job of painting the realistic actions that took place in the LA riots.

Fast and the FuriousTyrese Gibson, who played Mercer Bay, adds to that emotion as he creates a story of a father trying to save his son from the angry mob uprising after the Rodney King verdict. Scott Eastwood reunites with Gibson one more time in this action packed movie and brings the same “Fast” charm to the real life scene.

Additionally the film stars Ray Liotta in one of his last films before his death as he equally adds a fair amount of emotion to an important event. Others include Marvel’s Cle Bennett who captures the feel of the film exceptionally.

All in all, 1992 is an action packed movie with a historical background. Though it came out in 2022, it is finally being released in a theater near you. See it if you know anything about the LA Riots and want to remember so we don’t repeat history again.
